City Feed and Supply has purchased over $28,000 of fresh food from over 40 LOCAL farms, so far in 2012!
The relationships that we build with our local farmers help to strengthen the local food economy. It’s great to know the people who are growing the food you buy & eat!

IN 2012, THE CITY FEED DELI MADE ENOUGH #9 SANDWICHES TO GO THROUGH OVER 2000 POUNDS OF LOCALLY GROWN, PICKLED GREEN TOMATOES! (OK… Truth be told, the deli got some help: Customers also purchased jars of our locally famous pickled greens tomatoes!)
Along with supplying seasonal produce to our produce department, Confreda Farms will be growing and Farm Fresh Rhode Island’s Harvest Kitchen will be preparing our annual supply of PICKLED GREEN TOMATOES, an ingredient unique to our #9, Farmer’s Lunch Sandwich!
