Join us on Centre St. for a great August First Thursday!

First Thursday at City Feed on Centre St!

Join us for another great First Thursday on Centre Street! As always we celebrate with live music and free tastings from great local producers. Join us August 2nd!

Our local musical act, Larcenist| @lrcnst | is going to bring a heady, melodic vibe to First Thursday!

Bio:
Larcenist, of Boston, MA, creates compositions that run the gamut from dark and soulful ballads, to folk-country influence, to large scale sing along post-punk, all while carrying a traditional punk sensibility.  All of the founding members, transplants of various areas in Upstate New York, bring their small town influence and stories into their newer city surroundings. Their “country boy” influence allows them to tell intricate tales about the death of mill-towns, the downtrodden blue-collar work community, and bring an appreciation for rustic simplicity. The broken spaces between distorted guitar and driving drums fill with classical violin melodies offered by their newest member. If the beautiful and complex instrumental lines don’t tug at your heartstrings, then the images and story lines that they put together will.
Idle Hands Craft Ales | @idlehandsbeer | is bringing their “nanobrews” to The Feed! This small craft ale operation in Everett, MA produces their beers in 1.5 barrel batches, while microbrews brew in 7-11 barrel batches. Come in and taste the care & craft that Idle Hands puts into these small-batch, Belgian-inspired brews!

Maple Valley Creamery  | @mvcreamery | is heading to JP from Hadley with their super-premium ice cream! This gotta-try ice cream is made with milk from local, rBGH hormone-free cows and is flavored with local ingredients ever possible-think strawberries, rhubarb, maple syrup and other great New England flavors!

Equal Exchange | @eqexcoop | Will be showing you some great ways to make flavorful coffee at home & serving up samples of their organic, fair trade Bird of Paradise coffee. They’ll show you how to use coffee gadgets that you can get at Kitchen Witch, right across the street!

Mise Wines is a small wine distributor in Newton focusing on sustainable wines made using traditional methods. These European selections are what they call “real” wines:

“. . .natural farming, small production, and minimal interventions both in the vineyard and cellar. These elements are what make a wine ‘real.’”

Doves & Figs Kitchen concocts jams & preserves that you won’t soon forget. Using local, seasonal fruit & adding creative accent flavors, they’re cooking up jars of jam with names like “Song of Summer”-a spiced strawberry-vanilla number, “Picnic in Paris”-a medley of fruit kissed with lavender & “Chase the Blues Away”-an ode to to New England blueberries & cranberries studded with toasted pecans.
